A Page of nonsense
The Flibbertygibbet's Frolic
In a forest draped with moonlight's gleam,
Where mushrooms grow as tall as dreams,
There lived a creature (quite absurd!)—
A flibbertygibbet, half-beast, half-bird.
With whiskers that giggled and hiccupped with glee,
And feet that danced sideways 'round every old tree,
Our friend skipped through whimsy on zingy-zoom legs,
Collecting lost buttons and enchanted eggs.
The trees wore their stars like hats made of cheese,
While flowers hummed opera upon the night breeze,
And our flibbertygibbeting pal pirouetted,
Through clouds of pink mist (perfectly fretted!).
It gathered up giggles and bottled up sighs,
Befriended the owls (who were terribly wise),
Then danced with the foxgloves and daisies galore,
Then opened a door that had never been before!
Inside: a tea party of perfectly odd things—
A teacup that floated on butterfly wings,
A scone made of starlight, a jam jar of dreams,
And laughter that bubbled like fizzy-pop streams.
So if you should wander where whimsy runs wild,
Through magical forests as free as a child,
You might spot our flibbertygibbet at play—
Still dancing through wonder to this very day! 🌙✨
